Heaven & Hell Tour Cancellation

Posted on May 5, 2010

It’s with great sadness that Heaven and Hell won’t be able to do the dates we had booked in Europe this summer. As everybody knows, Ronnie James Dio was diagnosed with cancer late last year. He’s done remarkably well; but, not surprisingly, it’s all been a bit much on him. We were all too optimistic in our hopes of going out this summer. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Ronnie and Wendy for being his rock.

Cheers for everybody’s support during this time of worry, and we hope to see everybody soon!

Wow i’ve been a little out of touch my deepest sympathy to Ronnie and his wife and for the members of heaven and hell I love you guys and was listening to sabbath and dio since i was a kid

  4. James Canzoneri says:

My deepest condolences to the family, friends and bandmates of Ronnie. I’d been rediscovering my Black Sabbath roots lately, both as a bass player and as a fan, and I was lucky enough to see the Mob Rules tour back in ’82 at Long Beach Arena. Ronnie’s vocals and showmanship were a perfect match for the band!

I didnt get to learn much from Dio, but I love what I do know. Godspeed Mr. Dio….

  6. Haz says:

A genuine rock icon, a vocalist who saved us the bullshit egotism and fake personality that seems to be so rife amongst musicians these days. A contribution to the rock n’ roll world, and an unparalleled asset to real heavy metal. A fine lyricist and immense front man. Peace be with you Ronnie.

  7. Erika & Mike says:

My deepest condolences to the friends and family of Ronnie James Dio. My heart is broken and we are very saddened to learn of his passing. I never missed a show when you came to Buffalo, N.Y. Thank you for bringing Ronnie back into the band and touring the states before his passing. We really enjoyed all the shows Heaven and Hell gave us. I will always cherish those memories. My only regret is not having the Money until it was to late to buy the VIP package and actually get to meet such wonderful musicians. Peace and love..

I speak as someone who met the wonderful mr Dio in person several times, last in line tour, sacred heart tour my fondest memories. He has provided me with some of my fondest memories through his music and his shows, the sabs mob rukes tour was my first ever gig, dio from holy diver tour onwards and I’m so glad the I went to wembley to see heaven and hell too. You will be missed, your creativity in music will be missed, the great stages of the world will miss you, music will miss you but we the fans will miss you. I will meet you again Mr Dio when my time comes to leave this world I will join you in a better place and once again hear your voice.
Deepest smypathy to your wife Wendy. May God smile upon you forever.
