Ozzy & Friends – Oslo Gig Report
Excellent gig tonight in Oslo- everyone was firing on all cylinders, all gremlins banished to hell, the best crowd yet. Only down point was that our driver was allergic to peanuts, so when Adam celebrated by breaking out the peanut M&M’s, the driver got sick, and had to pull over at the side of the highway to take his medicine. Looking forward to hearing Slash’s album – lots of good reviews.
Cheers,
Geezer
Good to hear – except I’m a little jealous to hear the Oslo crowd was better than us in Birmingham!
Hi Geezer,
I’m glad you’re having fun. Enjoy the Slash CD. It’s really good. Look forward to the new Sabbath CD. All the best!!!
We had a blast last night! Maybe the best show we’ve been to! You guys knocked out Metallica! Hope to see u back in Norway sometime soon
Very good show and it is the most fired up Norwegian audience I have seen in this venue for years. Good that they made some impression.
Fantastic gig indeed! The sound was loud and great. Great to see you, Ozzy and Zakk on the same stage again, like back in 1989 in Drammenshallen, when you guys had Randy Castillo and Jon Sinclair on the team as well. Too bad there were no songs from ‘No Rest For The Wicked’ and ‘Ozzmosis’ in the set, as you played on those, but it was a 6 out of 6 gig, definatly. Rock on! Give the other Ozzy and Sabbath fans out there the same treatment as you gave us in Oslo.
When Geezer says,”best crowd yet” i think he means the Ozzy and Friends shows, not
the Birmingham show.
Hi Geezer….
Best crowd ever?… Just watch us tonight in Dortmund…
Since you guys skipped Rotterdam-Holland, I’ll jump over the border, and from there straight over to the Download party…
hi saw sabbath on sunday at download fantastic again
Saw Ozzy & Friends in Praque at O2-Arena. Aprox. 17.000 people went crazy. Even 200 metres away high up the gallery, everybody was screaming, yellin’ and stomping feet.
Did anybody realize that Gus G. is in fact a slightly better guitar player than Zakk W.
Although Zakk W. never stopped letting his guitar weep and weep and weep and weep….Gus played way more precize. His playing has an incredible groove in itself – stunning as far as it concerns to me. Gus, great job…keep your hands away from the dangerous liquids!
Anything to be said about Geezer? Yes: Greatest bubbling way to play a bass. Nothing to complain about but a lot to look up to.
Hey Geezer, what effects do you use during the Basically Solo before NIB nowadays?
