Tony
Greetings Earth people,
Today [Jan19th] we got the engines back up and running @ Tony’s home studio. Far from being down and depressed about his lymphoma diagnosis, Tony had already written the music for two new songs, and I must say it has given us all a kick up the rump- it’s great to hear him churning out those riffs again, assuaging the Demon C. Takes more than that to stop Tony. Can’t wait for you all to hear our workings, it has been great working on this stuff.
I want to thank the lovely encouraging emails sent to this site giving Tony love and encouragement and great vibes. It really does help, not only Tony, but us as a band- it raises up our spirits and restores our faith in this tarnished world. Sabb fans are good people, time and again you have proven your faith in us and boosted our endeavour.
Thanks, love, peace.
Geezer
Tony, please get well soon! I speak for all the people in Pennsylvania (United States) in saying we love you and you are in our daily thoughts and or prayers! Thank you for all the works going on and to what we will get from the NEW CD in the future and for the world tour! Thanks to Geezer & Ozzy & Bill as well! Anything you need, just ask!
From a huge Sabbath fan since 1970, it came as a shock to hear of Tony’s illness, but us hard rock fans always stick together “Never Say Die”. The music you guys have made over the years will go down in history, can’t wait too for Tony to make a full 100% recovery, and
Sabbath will return to what they do best, good luck to the 4 of you. Our thoughts are with you
all.
Tony, is certainly strong enough to beat this cancer. All the best to Tony, Geezer, Bill and Ozzy in this hard time. I can only imagine that cancer really is A Hard Road to be on. Once again, all the best!!
Very best wishes to Tony for a full and speedy recovery. This much we know: The Iron Man will never say die.

Get well Tony. Have been a fan since 1970. Just read your book. Sabbath Bloody Sbbath is one of my favorite songs. I agree it is prog metal but I don’t believe that was the first. Wheels of Confusion is very proggy. I love that one too. I absolutely cannot wait to hear the new Sabbath album.
Sorry to hear about Tony, you all were the major influence on Witchfynde as a band and I wish him all the best. Keep Fighting keep writing those killer riffs, keep inspiring more and more new people!
True Iron Man, a fast recovery for you!!
Get well. Would love to see Black Sabbath tour Memphis, TN!

My best regards to You, Geezer, Ozzy and Bill.
Praying all is going well with Tony and wishing all of you guys the best. God bless.
I also was diagnosed with a lymphona just before Christmas. First chemotherapy session actually took place on the morning of Christmas Eve. Have since had another session and due for my third on Friday this week.
Best wishes to Tony. Chemo does make you tired during the mid-part of the day so get some rest when you can Tony and keep those massive riffs coming!

Tony, it is ironic that I had just received your book “Iron Man” when my wife also was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I have found that great inspiration comes through great trials, and facing this cancer with two young children has re-focused us and re-strengthened us. I am certain that your new music will be powerfull, and we will all hear your heart through the music. God Bless you, all of your mates, and your family. Your music has been an important part of my life for 35 years running, and carried me through a lot. Find the best physicians, and fight like we all know that you can!
I’m latein getting some news but i want to say that i’m happy to see that Toni’s going well. Good vibes for you all and remember Toni, you’re in my prayers ! Much Love !
Hi Geezer,
Would you please pass on my warmest regards to Mr. Iommi. I am in prayer hoping he recovers soon. Black Sabbath is my most favorite band of all time! Your music is timeless. You guys have been through so much with Ronnie over the last two years and now with Tony. I am really pulling for you all including the situation with Bill. I hope Tony gets well and the Bill gets what it is that will satisfy him. God bless you all-peace be with you.
Hi Geezer,
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and especially Tony Iommi for the inspiration and support your music brought to my life. Heaven and Hell and Black Sabbath are constant companions in my life for nearly 20 years. I was 16 years old when I first listended to Dehumanizer and felt truly mesmerized. I even picked up my electric guitar to learn Tonys riffs. And I really loved the music and voice of Ronnie James Dio, and still feel at a loss for words, when I think about his death. Still comes somewhat as a surprise to me, how you can connect to strangers emotionally “just” listening to their music.
Mr. Iommi is not only an inspiration as a musican but also as a human being. He worked himself through the loss of his finger tips and still became one of the most wonderful guitar players and musicans. That says a lot about the ability of human beings to cope with challenges. I really admire him for his dedication and will power. I`m sure that this attitude will help him to cope with this dreadful disease. I wish him, his family, band mates and friends all the best and a complete recovery of his health.
Blessings Tony,
Wangaratta Australia is praying for you mate.
You guy’s are an awesome band, but, even more awesome friends !!!!!Not ot many bands out there can say that.Been a fan and Bassist who cut his teeth on your tunes since 73.Can’t wait to see you guy’s on tour again. Please give Tony my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hey Geezer,
Hope all is good. Just dropping a note to let you know that there are still plenty of kids out there that love what Black Sabbath has offered over the years. Im jamming with some kids at the school where I take guitar lessons, playing bass for them, and one of the songs they want to do for a show in June is Lord of This World. Of course I said, “Hell Yes!” I have listened to this song 100 times in the last week and still have not tired of it. Thank you!
Please give Tony our love and support. When you guys make it back to California, I’m gonna take the band to one of your shows.
And dont let Ozzy get to you. Hes just a kid.
Get well soon!! I’ve had a few incidents of that $#%$$ disease and always came bouncing back…keep up your humour..it does help…a lot!!
Tony: Since my early teenage years,(70′s) when I was introduced to Black Sabbath, hearing for the 1st time Electric Funeral, that song sent a Chill down my Spine, but then again I was only 13 years old in 73,so yes you made a believer and a Huge fan from that day forward, The songs that you guys created from the 1st album to Never Say Die!!,is some of the best work I have ever listened to,And My Prayers are with you Tony,You will Conquer this, you are a person with a very Strong will, and I know that you will whip this, and move forward, and I Hope and Pray to see you guys with a Kickass new album and the Mighty Sabbath World Tour 2012…..Bob Toneff/Atlanta GA.
I was born in 1965. I’m 46 currently. I first heard Sabbath when I was around 6 or 7. My older brother used to listen to it and that is how I caught on. Tony”s guitar sound, the huge bass and drums with Ozzy’s unique power voice was all I needed. I saw Tony live for the first time in Toronto on his “Heaven and Hell” tour. I was totally blown away. I could not believe the professionalism and the true artistry of this man. I am now reading his book Iron Man and everyday for the past week it entertains me deeply. Tony, thank you for this book and all the great music. I look forward to hearing Black Sabbath’s new album and look forward to seeing you guys live when your in Toronto! We are with you dude!
Tony, we are praying for your complete healing. By His stripes we are healed. GOD loves you! And so do we!
Mike E.
Rock on my friend!
“Far from being down and depressed about his lymphoma diagnosis, Tony had already written the music for two new songs…” That is one way to go and just keep moving on and keep on rocking. For anyone else in the same boat, don’t let it get you down, push past it and keep going. If you need help ask for it.
Nothing can stop the Iron guitar man . Thanks Geezer and Tony for Your music.çYou are the best rock’n roll writers ever. I listen to Sabbath songs since I was 17. Now I am 48
In my opinion , you are the heaviest , the best , the most influencial band on Earth.
Hi Geezer,
I just stumbled across your site. I really like the way you have it set up, and provide a nice glimpse into your world for those of us that have admired your playing for so many years. I believe that the Heaven and Hell show in Orlando was one og the greatest shows I have ever seen you play. I love the way that you really create, not just play music. You are truly among the best bass players that have ever roamed our world. I really liked Cliff Burton, and also like Steve Harris. Anyway, much peace and love from Tampa FL, and tell Tony that there are thousands of people on this planet that care for him deeply. What is so amazing, and should give him hope, is that we have never met. This really must be the human spirit, and maybe I’ll see you guys sometime, somewhere. Much peace and love to you both, and Ozzy, and Bill, even if they can’t get along. Hope to meet you someday. Tim
I hope Tony is doing ok. I believe his best years are in front of him.
I love his guitar playing.
He is beautiful.
